It's Confirmed ... our baby still has boy parts!

Last week, we had another anatomy scan and received confirmation that what we saw last month were boy parts. Whew!
The sonogram technician said that everything looked good and the baby weighed about a pound and a half. She also told us that he has long limbs and is very active. But, I already knew that, as I feel him kicking all day.
I am now 26 weeks and still feeling great. Time is flying, which makes me nervous because we have a lot to do!

Fashion Week ... Austin-style

Steph, Hanna, Sarah and I went to Tribeza's fall fashion show to get a sneak preview of the fabulous fashions that the local boutiques will carry this season. (None of which I will wear because I'll be sporting the latest belly trends ... but I did get some great ideas.)

Here are some pics from the event ...

Buying for baby

So, the bedroom that will soon be the nursery is a complete mess! We still have boxes that we haven't unpacked from when we moved into the house last October. But, that doesn't stop me from buying things for the nursery.
(I know we'll get the room done ... we work better under pressure.)

A few weeks ago, my best friend Alison and I went to Nursery Couture, a store in San Antonio that is owned by a friend, Katy. Katy also is the owner/designer of a fabulous company called Caden Lane that produces baby accessories, diaper bags, and nursery bedding.

I had so much fun shopping for bedding and clothes, and I can't wait to go back for more!

The adorable bedding that I bought ...

Another one of Alison's fabulous friends in San Antonio, DD, owns Chic Mama Maternity. The store has all the hottest trends for growing moms-to-be. Of course, I had to buy a few "chic" pieces for myself. Again, I can't wait to go back for more shopping.

Thanks DD and Katy for hooking me up!

Graduation Day

Kyla & Parker finally graduated from "brawlers class." They each took a test and luckily passed. The trainer recommended that Parker take more classes to become a therapy dog. His large head and lovable face would be great for children and the elderly. The trainer also said that Kyla would be good in field excercises -- tracking and following commands (because she's so smart).

Babymoon

Last week, we went to Cancun for our last get-away before we become a family of three. After a week of worries and tracking Hurricane Gustav, we landed in Cancun and all worries went away. We relaxed, ate, shopped, swam with the fishes, toured the ruins, and relaxed some more. It was the perfect vacation!
