Aggie Hoops

Last Saturday, we took Nico to College Station to watch the No. 11 ranked Aggies beat Kansas State, and the weekend before that, we saw the Aggies beat Missouri. Nico LOVES cheering for the Aggies (and any team ... he thinks all basketball and football teams are Aggies). Nico was great during the games and even managed to sneak in a nap on my lap during the Kansas State game.

Patiently waiting for lunch. (Don't let this face fool you ... he's not always this patient.)

Choo-Choo!

Nico got a train set for his birthday and he absolutely loves it! He'll spend hours playing with the trains and accessories.

Happy New Year

Two-Year Stats

Just realized that I never posted Nico's two-year stats. Not that anyone is missing Nico's height and weight, but I want to document it since I plan to print the blog into a book. (Soon, I hope.)

Weight: 29 pounds, 2 ounces
Height: 34.5"

At two years, Nico:
  • is very shy
  • is so sweet (loves to give mommy and daddy hugs and kisses)
  • likes to cuddle and hold hands
  • is a mama's boy
  • loves to play and explore outdoors
  • has discovered Pixar/Disney movies (favorites include Finding Nemo, How to Train Your Dragon, Cars, Astro Boy)
  • likes trains and cars
  • is usually cautious and aware of when he can get hurt
  • is a very picky eater (won't eat veggies or many fruits)
  • favorite foods are eggs, nutri-grain bars, crackers, rice, beans, bananas, noodles
  • is very attached to his bebe (blanket) and babies (dragon and monkey)
  • loves art (coloring, painting and playing with Play-Doh)
  • likes to put things back where they belong (We think he got this from school.)
  • is pretty darn funny (and knows it!)

Christmas Twenty-Ten

'Twas the night before Christmas ...

We celebrated Christmas Eve at Nonni & PopPop's house with tamales, tortilla soup and presents! Unfortunately, Nonni is still recovering from surgery and both she and PopPop were a bit under the weather. We all had a wonderful time though. Especially the little guy, who got lots of fun presents!

Christmas Morning ...

Santa came!
We spent the night at home on Christmas Eve so that we could wake up Christmas morning at home. It was so fun to watch Nico open his presents and play with everything. Christmas keeps getting better every year!
We tried to explain Santa to Nico this year, but he didn't quite understand the concept. He did, however, recognize Santa everywhere we went and called him "Sesa." So cute!

Christmas Day ...

After opening presents, we went to Corpus Christi for more celebrating and family fun with Janny, the great-grands, and Great-Aunt Char, who was visiting from Florida.

Nico was excited about his shopping cart from Janny!
