Another photo shoot

Our photographer took a few more pictures of Nico since he has changed so much over the past few months. Here are a few of our favorites ...

Four Months Old

Nico is already four months old and a BIG boy!
Stats from his four-month well-check appointment:
Weight: 18 pounds, 2 ounces (96th percentile!)
Height: 25 inches (60th percentile)
Head circ: 43.9 cm (90th percentile)

This past month, Nico has physically become a lot stronger. He holds his head up very well and is scooting on his back. He also flipped over from front to back once. He's very close to doing it every time ... we just have to keep practicing. I think his big belly is in the way!

Nico's also become extremely vocal and will hold a babbling conversation with you for minutes. And of course, he continues to make us laugh with his funny expressions. There's even one expression he makes where he raises one eyebrow and looks just like his daddy.

Nico started school (daycare) on April 1 and is adjusting well. He goes to school on Mondays and Wednesdays. On Fridays, daddy watches him until I get home around noon. I think the transition was made easier (on Nico and myself) by our dear friend Kristin, who watched Nico during the month of March before he started school. Thanks Kristin, and thanks Parker for sharing your mom!

Nico LOVES taking baths. He gets one every night now because he likes it so much, and it calms him for bedtime.
He's a water baby, just like his mom and dad. Can't wait to get the little guy in the pool. We're already planning a trip this summer to his mom's old stomping grounds ... Schlitterbahn.

Last weekend, we took a trip to Corpus Christi to introduce Nico to his New York City cousin Addison, who is 12 days older than Nico, and her parents, Jeff and Jill. Nico also got to meet his Great-aunt Char from Florida and cousin Amanda from Kansas. Nico and Addie were spoiled by all the attention and presents and had a great time!
