Fun with Finley, Hudson, Demi and Scarlett

We had a fun weekend at the Leonard's house! Nico and Hudson played until Nico was so tired he couldn't stand anymore. Meanwhile, Finley happily watched all the action. The Dahlbergs came over to the Leonard's and introduced us to their new addition, Scarlett. Scarlett was only 2 1/2 weeks old and as precious as could be. Big sister Demi stuck to what she knows best ... swinging and sliding.

How sweet are these two?

These boys played so well together! Nico idolized Hudson and copied everything he did.

Aunt Shark Visits!

Nico had so much fun hanging out with his Aunt Char, who he calls "Aunt Shark," when she visited from NYC. The two really bonded over tattoos, drums and dragons.

We hung out in Austin for a few days and then headed to the big CC.

Catching Up

Once again, I find myself catching up on a month's worth of blogging. It has gotten harder to carve out time for blogging since Nico demands more attention and sleeps less. Who knew this parenting-thing was so much work?

I'm backdating these posts in an attempt to keep everything chronological.

These pictures were taken two days after it snowed in Austin ... it was about 70 degrees and sunny. Texas weather is crazy! We played outside with Nonni & PopPop and ate burgers at Phil's Icehouse.

The Great Snow of 2011

We've had freezing temperatures for the past four days, and finally today, we were rewarded with snow. We got about an inch of the powdery stuff over night. Two years in a row ... so lucky!

Nico kept telling me how pretty the snow was and he was anxious to go outside and play. But, he didn't last long because he was so cold. He kept crying that his hands hurt. (Poor kid doesn't even have gloves. Socks on the hands just didn't do the trick.) South Texans just don't have the right clothes to withstand these temps. Needless to say, we enjoyed our half-hour out in the snow this morning and got some cute pictures.

Garrison is smart ... he's wearing gloves.

After we warmed up, we explored the back yard, too.

Aggie Hoops

Last Saturday, we took Nico to College Station to watch the No. 11 ranked Aggies beat Kansas State, and the weekend before that, we saw the Aggies beat Missouri. Nico LOVES cheering for the Aggies (and any team ... he thinks all basketball and football teams are Aggies). Nico was great during the games and even managed to sneak in a nap on my lap during the Kansas State game.

Choo-Choo!

Nico got a train set for his birthday and he absolutely loves it! He'll spend hours playing with the trains and accessories.
