Shoes!

Nico looooooves shoes. It is one of his favorite words (shooze or the plural shoozes). He is always asking us to put his shoes on, take them off, change them, tie them and on and on. Sometimes, by 10 a.m., he'll have already made a shoe change. He also tells us what shoes he wants us to wear. Maybe he got his love of shoes from his mother?

Zilker Zephyr

Today is Sunday Funday, so we took Nico to Zilker Park to have a snow cone and ride the Zilker Zephyr. He loved it and as we got off the train, he said, "Allllriiight!" All right is one of Nico's new favorite phrases.

Cameron Park Zoo

Our family loves zoos, so when we found out there was a zoo in Waco, we jumped at the chance to go. We went on a Friday when school was in, so we pretty much had the zoo to ourselves. I think we saw four other families all day.

Cameron Park Zoo is a great place for kids. They have playgrounds and interactive exhibits every corner you turn.

The tiles Nico is dancing on are chimes and every time you step on them, they make music. Nico thought this was great, so I tried to convince Nic that we needed a chime in our deck at home. I think it would give Nico hours of entertainment!

Nico's First Camping Trip

Last month, we took Nico on his first camping trip. We loaded up the Airstream and headed to Guadalupe River State Park. It was the first week that school was back in, so we basically had the entire park to ourselves. It was so peaceful!

We all had a great time and Nico wore himself out playing in the river, throwing rocks, hiking, biking, climbing, and throwing more rocks!

We are looking forward to many more family camping trips. Maybe once Nico gets better in the car, we'll venture out of the state.
